Statement - My paintings can be seen as nothing more, or less, than a vain attempt to arrest time. They reflect the stillness and resolution that foster visual contemplation. This is how I would explain my daily pursuit of formal perfection through abstraction. Complex arrangements of form are favored over minimal reduction because I seek a balance between figure and ground that is revealed after extended viewing.
