Tulane University, New Orleans, LA 1979 Lives in Quakertown, PA Upcoming Show: STEVE TOBIN: Explosive Relationships March 30 - May 1, 2010 Timed to coincide with NCECA 2010: Independence, the National Council on Education in the Ceramic Arts' annual conference, taking place this year in Philadelphia, Explosive Relationships will feature large and small examples of Steve Tobin's legendary ceramic and glass "Bang Pots" and "Exploded Earth" series. Tobin has conducted tens of thousands of explosions to develop this new visual language. By translating an explosion into form, Tobin documents the movement of order into chaos.
