New Tim McFarlane Paintings Acquired by Two Philadelphia Museums

Two Tim McFarlane paintings have just been acquired into the permanent collections of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Woodmere Art Museum.

Untethered Variance, acquired by Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and Self-Preservation Oasis, acquired by Woodmere Art Museum, were both featured in Tim's recent solo exhibition with Bridgette Mayer Gallery, Walk Sign is On.

Tim's work is often inspired by his personal observations of human-driven changes in personal and public spaces, and emphasize multi-layered systems, color, and process. The collections of both museums will be greatly enriched with these additions into their collections.

On this esteemed achievement, McFarlane states:

"I am deeply honored to have two of my works represented in the collections of the Pennsylvania Academy of The Fine Arts and the Woodmere Art Museum. As an artist with lifelong roots in Philadelphia, it is sincerely gratifying and humbling to have my work acquired by two of the region’s major arts institutions. It’s also wonderful to know that future generations will have the opportunity to engage with my paintings in these two institutions that reflect the rich cultural heritage of
Philadelphia and beyond."
