Jeffrey Peezick - From the Road The “road” has come and gone from my work over the years. Usually popping up when I’ve had to spend considerable time traveling. That road affords time for seeing great expanses and narrow passages, farmlands, streams, industry, towns of many sizes and animals of all sorts alive and dead. Time to think and dream- Stripping away all but the essential to my eye, these images break down into fundamental shapes and lines that get filled with thoughts that have time to marinate between destinations. The use of plaster’s white make up leaves the image void of color’s effects on the psyche leaving that work to be filled in by the viewer.
