The Bridgette Mayer Gallery is poised to host its 9th annual Benefit Exhibition with an Artist Call to Art open invitation to artists to contribute their creativity in support of HelpUsAdopt.org and the Dina Wind Art Foundation. From June 11 to August 3, 2024, the gallery at 709 Walnut Street in Philadelphia will transform into a beacon of hope and generosity, showcasing artworks that transcend the ordinary.

There will be an opening reception on Thursday, June 13 from 4:30 – 7:30 PM.

The Bridgette Mayer Gallery presents “Chapel of Color”, the long-awaited first solo exhibition by Filipino American painter Jon Poblador. On view from June 3 through August 2, 2025, “Chapel of Color” represents a pivotal moment in Poblador’s distinguished career—an exhibition that marks both a homecoming and a breakthrough. Featuring 20 new paintings and drawings, the show is a luminous celebration of Poblador’s distinct visual language: one that finds transcendence in repetition, harmony in restraint, and meaning in process.

Philadelphia, PA – May 1, 2025. Bridgette Mayer Gallery is delighted to announce Chapel of Color, an exhibition by gallery artist Jon Poblador. This exhibition is comprised of 20 paintings and drawings that celebrate the transformative qualities of repetition, building surface, and structure as pathways to stillness. Through a meticulous process of building thin layers of paint in rectangular forms, Poblador creates slow and deliberate work with subtle shifts and irregularities in each composition.
