Tim McFarlane

June 22 - July 26, 2020

Gallery Artist Tim McFarlane created a new piece on site at the Delaware Contemporary in a project known as the "Response Gallery." Select artists and the public are invited to participate in a civic dialogue through the arts in response to the current social unrest due to ongoing racism and police brutality.

From Delaware Contemporary:

Now is the time to listen. We at The Delaware Contemporary care deeply about our role in engaging civic dialogue through the arts. To hear the voices in our community, we invite artists and community members to participate in a gallery "take-over" through the month of June. The exhibition will remain on display through July, 26, 2020. We have dedicated our DuPont II Gallery as our response space and we offer this as an all-inclusive, safe place for peaceful expression and community engagement.

In an effort to ensure COVID-19 safety, guests will need to wear face masks and maintain a social distance of 6 feet. Materials distributed by The Delaware Contemporary will be sanitized and pre-packaged for individual use. Participants are welcome to bring their own art supplies and materials. If you would like to participate, but do not feel comfortable creating onsite, you may produce a piece of art offsite and drop it off to be included in the Response Gallery.
